Two separate things, so you only pay for what you need. Hosting is where your website lives — monthly or annually, with a month free if you pay for the year. A care plan is the team keeping it updated, backed up and working.
Hosting is the space your website occupies — storage, email accounts, bandwidth and the server it runs on. A care plan is the human work done on the site — updates, backups, security and content changes. You can take hosting on its own; a care plan is what you add when nobody in-house is looking after the site.
Storage, email and FTP accounts, unlimited bandwidth, LiteSpeed servers and the Imunify360 firewall. Everyone with a website needs hosting somewhere. More on hosting
Updates applied and checked, backups taken, security watched and content changed. Optional, and the thing that stops a site quietly rotting. More on maintenance
Hosting starts at R70 a month, or R770 a year — paying annually gives you twelve months for the price of eleven. What separates the packages is storage, email accounts and FTP accounts; bandwidth is unlimited on all of them, and every package runs on LiteSpeed servers behind the Imunify360 firewall.
For personal sites and light hosting needs.
More space and email for a growing small business.
Built for busy, high-traffic websites.
Bigger sites needing more space and power.
Care plans start at R350 a month. All of them cover updates, security and backups. What moves up the range is how many hours of content changes are included and how often backups are taken — from monthly on Starter to daily on Custom.
Technical care to keep your site stable and safe.
For small sites that need regular content changes.
For active sites that change often and need closer monitoring.
For busy sites needing priority care and deeper reporting.
Start from how often your website changes, not how big it is. If it rarely changes, Starter keeps it safe and updated. If you send us edits most months, Basic's two hours usually covers it. Business and Custom exist for sites that change constantly or where downtime costs real money.
Updates, security and monthly backups handled. Content changes are quoted separately when you do need one, so you are not paying for hours you never use.
Two hours of content work included each month, which covers most small businesses updating prices, photos or a page here and there.
Five or ten hours of content work, more frequent backups, and monitoring on uptime and security for sites where being down costs money.
You need hosting somewhere — every website does. A care plan is optional and only worth paying for if nobody in-house is applying updates, taking backups and watching for problems. If you have someone doing that, hosting alone is enough.
It depends on the care plan. Starter and Basic take monthly backups, Business takes weekly, and Custom takes daily. If your site changes often or takes orders, the more frequent the backup, the less work you lose when something goes wrong — which is worth weighing when choosing a plan.
Changes to what is already there — prices, photos, text, staff, opening hours, a new blog post. New pages, redesigns and new functionality are project work and get quoted separately. If a request is bigger than your plan's hours, we tell you before doing it, not after.
Hours are allocated per month and reset each month. If you consistently do not use them, you are on the wrong plan and we will say so — moving you down a tier is a better outcome than quietly billing you for time you never use.
Imunify360 is a server firewall that blocks malicious traffic and scans for malware before it reaches your site. LiteSpeed is the web server software, and it serves WordPress pages considerably faster than the older setups most budget hosts still run. Both come with every hosting package.
Yes, in either direction, and there is no penalty for moving down. Businesses often start on Starter care and move up once they realise how often they actually want changes made — or move down after a busy launch period settles.
No. Hosting and care are month to month and you can stop whenever you like. The site, the domain and the data stay yours, and we hand over a full copy to whoever takes it on next.
Send us your web address. We'll check what your site is running on, what's out of date and how much upkeep it realistically needs — then tell you which plan fits, including the cheapest one if that's the honest answer.
