Cape Town & the Western Cape

Web design in Cape Town, for buyers who never walk past.

We're Gauteng-based, and we'll say so before you ask. What we build for Cape businesses is aimed at a market where plenty of your buyers are choosing you from another province or another country — off the website alone.

The obvious question

Does it matter that you're not in Cape Town?

For the build, no — and we would rather make that argument honestly than pretend to be local. Nothing about a website needs the person building it to be down the road. What would matter is if being up-country made the work slower, harder to rank or harder to reach, and none of those hold.

Where we sit isn't what ranks

Google ranks your address, reviews and service area — not your agency's. A Cape Town business ranks in Cape Town regardless of who built the site.

Same country, same plumbing

Rands, local payment gateways, local couriers, .co.za domains and South African hosting. The practical stuff is identical in both provinces.

One timezone, no handover

Same working day, same hours. Nothing sits overnight in a queue, and there is no offshore team picking it up while you sleep.

What's different here

What's different about selling in Cape Town?

More than most agencies allow for. A large share of Cape buying happens at a distance and on a season — someone in Gauteng, London or Berlin choosing a place they have never stood in, months before they get there. That changes what the website has to do and when it has to be finished.

The buyer isn't in the room

No walk-past, no handshake, no chance to explain yourself. Photographs, reviews and clear pricing carry the whole decision, so thin content costs you the sale outright.

The season is the deadline

If the site needs to be earning over summer, building it in summer is too late. Bookings and research start months ahead of arrival, and so should the website.

It's a design-literate market

Your site gets compared to good ones, by people who notice. Looking dated loses you the visitor before a single word gets read. Web design

Two searches, not one

Locals search by suburb; visitors search by the city or by the thing they want to do. Most Cape sites are built for one of those and invisible to the other. Local SEO

Where we work

Which parts of Cape Town do you cover?

All of it, and the wider Western Cape with it — the City Bowl and Atlantic Seaboard, the Southern Suburbs and Deep South, and the Northern Suburbs out into the Winelands. Everything runs remotely as standard, so which side of the mountain you're on makes no difference to what gets built.

City Bowl & Atlantic Seaboard

The CBD, Gardens, Green Point, Sea Point, Camps Bay and the Waterfront. Hospitality, tourism and professional services, mostly selling to people who aren't here yet.

Southern Suburbs & Deep South

Observatory, Rondebosch, Claremont, Newlands, Constantia and down through Muizenberg to Fish Hoek. Retail, trades, health and professional practices serving their own neighbourhoods.

Northern Suburbs & Winelands

Bellville, Durbanville, Brackenfell, Kuils River and Blackheath, out to Stellenbosch, Somerset West and Paarl. Industrial, manufacturing and trade, where our Cape work sits.

Local proof

Have you worked with Cape Town businesses?

One that we can name and point you at: Blackheath CID, a city improvement district here in the Cape metro. We're not going to pad that list to make it look longer — the rest of our work sits in other provinces, and all of it is on the work page for you to judge.

Blackheath CID

Digital infrastructure for a city improvement district. Rebuilt around the people it answers to — residents, members and stakeholders — with clear service information and a public home for precinct communication. Success measured in confidence, not conversions.

Questions, answered

Questions from Cape Town businesses.

Only if the work and the price are better. We are not going to argue that being in Gauteng is an advantage, because it isn't one. What we can point at is published pricing you can check before you speak to anyone, a named Cape project, and the fact that you deal with whoever builds the thing rather than an account manager. If a local agency beats that, use them.

No. Most websites go live within two to four weeks, the same as for a client twenty minutes from us. Everything runs on calls, staging links and email regardless of province, and plenty of clients we have worked with for years have never met us in person.

They are two different jobs and both are worth doing. Locals search by suburb, so that needs area pages and a properly set up Google Business Profile. Visitors search by the city or by the activity, months out and usually from a phone in another country, which needs pages built around what they are trying to do rather than around your service list.

Earlier than most people do. The build itself takes two to four weeks, but search results and a new Google Business Profile take longer than that to settle, so give yourself a couple of months of runway before the money starts arriving. Launching the week the season opens means paying for a site that spends its best months warming up.

It changes what gets prioritised. Load time matters more when the request is coming from further away, currency and pricing need to be unambiguous, and the trust signals have to do more work because nobody is walking past your premises first. The underlying build is the same; the emphasis moves.

Exactly what it costs everywhere else we work: from R2 750 once-off or R499 a month, and from R6 000 for a store. There is no Cape Town rate, no seasonal rate and no adjustment for how the address looks. Read the numbers on the pricing page, or put your own project through the instant quote tool for a figure in about thirty seconds.
