Social media that earns its place.

The problem

Why doesn't social media bring in business?

Usually because it is being treated as something to keep up with rather than something with a job. Posts go out because it is Tuesday, not because they move somebody closer to buying. Activity looks healthy, the page looks alive, and nobody enquires.

Posting to a schedule, not a plan

A calendar full of posts is not a strategy. If you cannot say what each post is meant to achieve, it is filling space rather than earning attention.

Spread across every platform

Four channels updated badly beat none, but they lose to one done properly. Most businesses only need to be excellent in the one place their buyers already are.

Measured on the wrong thing

Followers and likes are easy to grow and easy to report. Neither says whether a single person contacted you because of what you posted.

What's involved

What does social media marketing include?

Four things, and they only work together: a strategy that says who you are talking to, graphics and copy built to that strategy, consistent posting, and replying to the people who respond. Skip the last one and the rest is broadcasting.

Strategy first

Who your buyers are, what they need to believe before they buy, and which channel is worth your time. Written down, so posts have something to serve.

Graphics and copywriting

Posts designed and written for you, built around your photos, products and jobs — real material from your business rather than stock images of strangers in an office.

Scheduled and posted

Planned ahead and published consistently, so the channel does not go quiet the moment you get busy — which is exactly when it usually does.

Comments and messages answered

Questions get replied to while the person is still interested. An unanswered comment is a customer telling you they were ready.

Expectations

How long before social media actually works?

Longer than anyone selling it wants to admit. Organic social compounds rather than switches on — think months of consistency before it reliably produces enquiries. If you need enquiries in weeks rather than months, Google Ads is the honest answer, and we will say so.

Months one to three

Getting the basics right: consistent posting, a clear message, and finding which kinds of post your audience actually reacts to.

Months three to six

Patterns emerge. You start hearing "I saw your post" on calls, which is usually the first sign it is doing something.

Six months and beyond

The back catalogue works for you. People who have followed for a while arrive already convinced, and those are the easiest customers you will get.

How it runs

How does a month actually work?

In a repeating cycle you barely have to think about: plan, produce, post, review. The heaviest month is the first one, because that is when the strategy gets written and we learn how your business actually talks.

01
Plan

Agree the month

What is coming up in your business — a job, a product, a promotion — and what each post is meant to do. You approve before anything is made.

02
Produce

Build the posts

Posts put together from your material. If you have photos from a job, send them; if not, we work with what exists and tell you what would help.

03
Post

Publish and reply

Scheduled, published, and monitored for comments and messages so questions get answered while the person is still paying attention.

04
Review

See what worked

A monthly look at what earned attention and what did not, and the next month gets planned around the answer rather than repeating the same thing.

Questions, answered

Social media questions we get asked most.

We do. Graphics and copywriting are included on every plan, so posts arrive designed and written. What we need from you is the raw material — photos of your actual work, products and team. Those outperform anything from a stock library, and usually a phone picture of a finished job is enough.

Whichever one your buyers already use, and usually only one or two. For most South African trades and retailers that is Facebook and Instagram; for business-to-business it is often LinkedIn. Being excellent in one place beats being present in five.

No. Bought followers do not buy anything, they make your engagement rate worse, and platforms increasingly detect and suppress accounts that do it. A smaller audience of real local people is worth considerably more to your business.

Agreed upfront and kept to, because consistency matters more than volume. A few good posts a week that you can sustain for a year beat a daily burst that stops after six weeks — and stopping is what most businesses actually do.

Yes. The month's posts are planned and shared with you before anything is published, so nothing appears on your channel that you have not seen. Most clients relax that after a few months, but it stays available if you want it.

They do different jobs. Ads reach people now and stop the day you stop paying; organic builds something that keeps working. If your budget only stretches to one and you need enquiries this month, run the ads first — we would rather say that than sell you both.

Yes. We are based in Gauteng and run social media for businesses across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. Everything is done remotely, on South African hours.

Is your social media doing anything?

Send us your channels. We'll look at what you're posting, what's actually landing, and whether the effort is earning its place — including telling you to stop posting and spend elsewhere, if that's the honest answer.
