How much does an e-commerce website cost in South Africa?

Our store packages start at R7 000 once-off, or R899 a month on a 12-month term. Every package includes 10 products. What moves the price is how many pages you need and how much store functionality is built.

What if I have more than 10 products?

Extra products are loaded in blocks of ten at R400 a block, on any package. A hundred-product range is the package price plus R3 600 for the extra ninety. If your catalogue is already in a spreadsheet, bulk importing is usually faster and cheaper.

Do you take a commission on my sales?

No. We take nothing from your turnover, on either payment option. The only per-sale cost is your payment gateway's transaction fee, which goes to them. That is one of the main reasons we build on WooCommerce instead of a hosted platform.

Is paying monthly more expensive than paying once-off?

Over twelve months you pay more than the once-off price, but the monthly figure also covers hosting, SSL, updates and backups. A once-off build pays for those separately. If cash flow allows and you want to own the store immediately, once-off is simpler.

Do I own the store on a monthly plan?

Yes. The store becomes yours at the end of the 12-month term. During the term you have a live, fully working shop with hosting, SSL, updates and backups included. To own it from launch, choose once-off.

I already have a store. Do I pay full price to rebuild it?

Not necessarily. A redesign is quoted once we have seen what you have, because existing products, content and rankings can often be carried across. The review that produces that quote is free.

Which package should I choose?

Page count is usually the deciding factor, because products are priced separately. Starter suits one page plus a shop. Basic adds categories and filters for a growing range. Business adds shipping zones, discounts and location SEO for higher volume. Tell us your range and we will point you to the right one.
